Careers in Hip Hop and Entertainment is a program designed to assist students in developing their knowledge and interest in the Hip Hop entertainment industry. It draws on students’ interests by teaching them about the history of Hip Hop culture and music in general, careers in entertainment, entrepreneurialism, songwriting, journalism, and production. Special emphasis is placed on positive and progressive music in order to encourage students to be responsible, goal oriented, and socially aware members of their communities. This program can be offered in any format (after school, workshop, elective, etc).
